B Corp

Why we're proud to be a B Corp certified company

We subscribe to the belief that business can be a force for good. That’s why we’re proud to be B Corp Certified – a recognition awarded to companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

Being a part of this global movement is far more than just a badge. It’s a never-ending commitment to making a positive impact on our communities, people, clients, and the environment. It holds us accountable to higher standards, ensuring we never stand still, but continuously strive to be better.

By becoming a B Corp, we’re held to the highest standards of accountability and are continuously challenged to do better. It’s not going to be easy. It’s going to take time and patience. It will often mean taking the longer route, even when short cuts are available.

But we don’t want to talk the talk – we want to walk the walk. It’s our way of showing that we care about more than just profits. We care about people, the planet, and creating a lasting, positive impact.

We want Fourwalls to be the best place for our team to work and grow their careers.

That’s why we prioritise mental and physical wellbeing, safety initiatives, an inclusive and diverse workplace, clear career progression paths for all (wow that was a mouthful), flexibility and autonomy of work… And possibly most importantly, a culture built on fun, openness and trust.

And the option to bring-your-dog-to-work. Because who doesn’t love an office dog.

We all try to support our neighbours at home, and as a business we view supporting our local community in the same way. That’s why throughout each year we have a host of fundraising and volunteering initiatives that go towards our chosen charity.

This year, we’re supporting Hope Hub, a local charity committed to preventing and ending homelessness in Surrey and the surrounding areas. From volunteering days, to pet photoshoots, quiz nights, long distance walks, sleepouts and more, we’ve loved getting involved and raising much-needed donations.

As a service business, we don’t make, break, build, or grow, so our carbon emissions and supply chain may be less than many others.Although the reality these days is that everything creates a carbon footprint. Here are some of the things we’re doing, although we know there’s always more to be done:

Reduce our energy consumption, improving energy and water efficiency – both in the office and when working from home
• Reduce the impact of our transport, by reducing the need to travel and then choosing alternative transport options where feasible
• Introduce better incentives for electric vehicles where driving is still a requirement
• Minimise our waste and increase recycling where possible
• Develop a Supplier Policy to encourage using responsible and ethical suppliers with lower environmental impact

Quote to go here with a nice bunch words

Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are businesses that balance profit with purpose.

A B Corp is a for-profit corporation certified for its social impact by B Lab, a global non-profit organisation. To be granted and to maintain certification, companies must receive a minimum score of 80 from a rigorous evaluation process and integrate B Corp commitments to stakeholders into company governing documents. Companies must re-certify every three years to retain B Corporation status.

B Corps are assessed on how they operate across five key areas:

• Governance: How we run our business with integrity and transparency
• Workers: The way we treat our people and prioritise their wellbeing
• Community: Our commitment to giving back and supporting local communities
• Environment: The efforts we make to minimise our ecological footprint
• Customers: Providing products and services that offer benefit and value

When you work with Fourwalls, you’re choosing a partner that puts purpose at the core of everything we do. This holistic approach sets B Corps apart from the rest, ensuring that companies like ours are using business as a force for good.

• Ethical practices: We operate with transparency, fairness, and integrity in every aspect of our business
• Sustainability: We make conscious decisions to reduce our environmental impact and promote sustainability in all areas of our marketing operations
• Community engagement: We actively support local and nationwide communities, making a difference where it’s needed most

We’re thrilled to share our inaugural Impact Report since becoming a B Corp. It’s an annual summary showing how far we’ve come as a business, but also our pledge to where we still want to go. A proud moment in our B Corp journey.
