Introducing...Luke Oldfield, Creative operations coordinator

Welcome to our Meet the Team series where we introduce the team behind the work. Find out what they love about their careers and just as importantly what makes them tick outside of work too.

Luke works in the creative operations team, overseeing video output alongside assisting with brochures and photos – he helps make sure everything is ready to be sent out to our clients. Luke joined the company in video production, editing a wide range of videos and assisting our clients with queries. On top of that, he assists with producing brochures, photo editing and general problem solving in the creative team.

How long have you been at Fourwalls?

I have been at Fourwalls Since April 2024.

How do you take your tea/coffee?

I take my tea with a dash of milk and one sugar if I feel like it.

Do you collect anything?

I have a growing vinyl record collection. My favourite record is ‘The Queen is Dead’ by The Smiths, which my dad gifted to me.

Tell us about your pets.

I have two miniature dachshunds called Poppy and Nelly, who are 8 and 7 years old. They are very playful and cuddly but are the bane of my life when they want a treat!

What do your friends and family think you do at work?

They know I edit together our video outputs for our clients, alongside working with brochures and the photography side of the business.

What’s your earliest Fourwalls memory?

My earliest memory of Fourwalls was my first day working here. This was my first job since finishing uni, so I was very nervous on that day. However, that all went away after meeting my team and rest of the talented staff. They greeted me with open smiles and made me feel like part of the Fourwalls family from day one.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

I love when I can channel everything around me out and focus on editing a video. I love to experiment with different techniques and styles, playing around with what works and what doesn’t. I could do it all day, every day.

Email, Teams message or phone call – what do you prefer?

I like Teams for quick, casual conversations or questions. Email is good for formal queries and tasks to action, though I tend to phone if it’s too much to fit in an email.

What is your definition of success?

My definition of success is doing something that you love whilst making the people that you love proud because of it. I feel successful working here at Fourwalls.

What’s the best place you’ve travelled to, and why?

The best place I’ve travelled to is the South of France. I went to Cannes for the first time last year and fell in love with the beautiful landscape and architecture. The people were all really kind and the food was amazing.
