News: Fourwalls annouces B Corp certification
Fourwalls Group, one of the UK’s leading premium property marketing and surveying agencies, is delighted to announce that they have achieved B Corp certification, making them the first in their specialist field in the UK to gain this accolade.
Leading the way in the property marketing sector
Joining a global community of just over 9,000 companies, the B Corp movement aims to reinvent business as a force for good, aligning the three P’s of people, planet and profit.
The certification set by B Lab, the non-profit organisation behind B-Corp, is notoriously rigorous and candidates are required to address the entirety of their business’ operations covering five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.
Owen Turgoose, CEO at Fourwalls Group, says, “Achieving B Corp certification is a significant milestone for our company. It wasn’t about earning a badge but embracing a framework to benchmark and improve our long-standing efforts to be a more sustainable business, a better employer, and a stronger partner in our community. I’m proud of how much we’ve already accomplished, while the process itself has made us an even better business.
”Fourwalls is the UK’s longest established property marketing agency, specialising in creative and technical solutions for many of the UK’s most prestigious estate agents, developers and architects, including Savills and Hamptons. They offer a wide range of services including, photography, videography, floorplans, design and CGI to specialist energy consultancy and land and measured building surveys.
The property and built environment sector has received particular attention over the last decade in regards to sustainability and community impact, across both residential and commercial aspects, and Fourwalls’ commitment to ESG through its B Corp status signals this shift towards greater accountability and transparency.
The B Corp certification process takes around a year, with in-depth evidence submitted, third party assessments, and the accreditation lasts for three years, at the end of which businesses are invited to re-certify. This ensures that businesses must continuously strive to improve.
